💎 Loyalty Programs: Reward Your Customers

Happy customers come back. Versoll Books includes a built-in loyalty engine that allows you to reward your frequent buyers with points, tiers, and exclusive discounts without needing any third-party apps.

🎁 How Loyalty Points Work

Every time a customer makes a purchase, they earn points based on your rules (e.g., ₹100 spent = 1 point). These points have a monetary value (e.g., 1 point = ₹1) that can be redeemed in future purchases.

Configuring Your Reward Rules

Go to Customers > Loyalty Program Settings to define your strategy.

1

Earning Rules

Define how points are granted. You can set a global rule or category-specific rules:

  • Points per Currency Unit: Grant 0.05 points for every ₹1 spent.
  • Minimum Purchase Amount: Only grant points if the bill exceeds ₹500.
  • Excluded Items: Disable point earning on discounted items or specific categories.
2

Redemption Rules

Define how customers can spend their points:

  • Point Value: Set how much each point is worth in currency (e.g., 1 point = ₹0.50).
  • Redemption Cap: Limit points usage to a percentage of the total bill (e.g., max 50% of bill value can be paid via points).
  • Expiry: Set points to expire after a certain number of months to encourage repeat visits.

Managing Tiers (VIP Levels)

Create tiers based on total customer spend to offer increasing rewards:

⚠️ Accounting for Loyalty Loyalty points are technically a liability for your business (you "owe" that value to customers). Versoll Books automatically tracks this in a "Loyalty Points Liability" account in your Balance Sheet.
